The Cannondale Scalpel 4 2025 is the perfect entry point into carbon cross-country performance. The same lightweight carbon construction and Proportional Response Suspension and Geometry found on higher models deliver a precise, stiff ride that climbs efficiently and descends confidently. The FlexPivot Chainstay maintains rear triangle stiffness while absorbing high-frequency vibrations, and full internal cable routing keeps everything clean.
The RockShox SID fork (120mm, DebonAir spring) and RockShox SIDLuxe Select+ shock (190×45mm) are both controlled by TwistLoc remote dual lockout — switch both wheels to locked in one twist for maximum climbing efficiency, then release for descending control. UDH derailleur hanger future-proofs the drivetrain.
Shimano Deore 6100 12-speed drivetrain with a 32T chainring and 10–51 cassette provides reliable, wide-range gearing at a great price-to-performance ratio. Shimano MT501 hydraulic disc brakes with 180/160mm RT10 rotors offer consistent, predictable stopping. Stan's NoTubes Crest S2 32h tubeless-ready wheels with Maxxis Rekon Race WT and Aspen WT 29×2.4" tyres complete this capable XC package.
