The Trek Supercaliber SL 9.6 Gen 2 2025 delivers an exceptional balance of XC climbing efficiency and descending capability in a carbon package accessible to a wide range of riders. The Carbon SL OCLV Mountain frame with IsoStrut rear suspension provides 80mm of rear travel directly integrated into the seat stays, adding compliance without the complexity of a traditional rear linkage — keeping weight low and pedalling stiffness high.
The RockShox Recon Gold RL fork (110mm) with DebonAir coil spring and Motion Control damper maintains the XC ethos up front, while the RockShox SIDLuxe rear shock element of the IsoStrut system handles high-frequency trail chatter efficiently. A two-position remote allows fast switching between Trail and Lock modes.
Shimano SLX 12-speed rear derailleur and Shimano Deore M6100 shifters provide reliable wide-range shifting across a 10–51 cassette, driven by a 32T Shimano MT512 crankset. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors offer consistent, modulated stopping. Bontrager Kovee Tubeless Ready wheels with Bontrager Sainte-Anne RSL XTR tires, and a Bontrager Line Dropper post complete this capable XC build.
